How does this work?

Completion of this form and payment of the $5.00 fee will place your name on the Lottery List.

Our maximum race size limit is 500 riders, per our USFS permit. 400 successful Lottery applicants will be selected by random drawing. The next 100 people invited to race will be selected by the Laramie Enduro Board and will include previous race volunteers and sponsor-guaranteed riders. The remaining Lottery applicants will be placed on a waiting list in the order in which their names were selected in the original random Lottery drawing.

What is the maximum limit to the Lottery size?

There is no maximum limit to the number of Lottery registrations accepted between February 1 and March 5, but no further Lottery registrations will be accepted after midnight March 5.

Who has to register in the Lottery?

Nearly Everyone, whether you've been promised a spot (guaranteed-in) or not, whether you're a tandem captain or a stoker.  Nearly everyone needs to register (individually) and pay the $5 fee so we can get your name on the list.  There are very few exceptions to this rule, so jump on the Lottery and pay your $5 if you're not positive you're an exception.  If you guess wrong, you may not race.

Where does that $5 fee go?

In the spirit of the Laramie Enduro’s non-profit mission, most if not all of this small fee is provided to organizations that will further the sport of biking. A detailed list of our annual contributions is made available on our website.

How do I know if I made it in?

If your Lottery bid is successful, we will contact you by Saturday, March 10, 2012 with registration and payment instructions. 

If you are not initially successful, you and the other remaining Lottery applicants will be placed on a waiting list in the order in which your names were selected in the original Lottery.

What if I don't make the first cut?

If the Enduro does not receive payment from a successful Lottery applicant by the stated due date, that unpaid applicant will be dropped from the list, and the next rider on the waiting list (created by the original random lottery) will be notified with payment instructions.

Is there any way to increase my odds of getting in?

Yes!  If you contribute a volunteer (spouse, family member, etc.) to this year's race, your Lottery bid will be very favorably considered.

If all else fails and you don't make it in to this year's race, volunteer your assistance at the race this year.  Your Lottery bid next year will be very favorably considered.

What is the last day to register for the Enduro Lottery?

Lottery registration closes Monday, March 5th at midnight. No registrations will be accepted after that time.
